badi kismat se mili hai, tumhe insaan ki yeh anmol zindagi...
jab bhagwan se is haseen jahan ne ki hai, ek surili bandagi
har pal ehsaan mandh rehna apni maa ka...
jisne diya hai tumhe, yeh keemthi janam
yaad karthe rehna baatein apni pitha ki...
kyonki zaroori hai, tumhari oonchayi ke liye unka karam
kar dikhana iss zamane ko kuch aisa kaam...
jo tumhari hi nahin, roshan karde poore parivaar ka naam
aage badthe rehna bina ruke apni manzil ki oor...
chaahe jithni hi mushkile, dikhaye tumhe apni zor
yuhi sajaathe rehna har pal mumkin aur meete khwaab..
sach karna unhe, jaise iss berangi duniyaan mein roshni bhardetha hai lal afthaab
chahe jithni hi buri shakthiyaan dikhaye tumhe apni kashish...
samajhdaari dikhana aur jaanna ki, woh sab hain tumhe fasaane ki saazish
kaam karna phal ki aasha math kar, yaad rakhna yeh keemthi kalaam...
jis janam bhoomi ne tumhe apna manzil dikhaya, karna usse apna salaam
tumhare aage jhukne, koi aitraaz na dikhayega yeh neela aasmaan...
aazmaao tho badi kamaal ki cheez hai yeh zindagi, jismein poore honge tumhare saare armaan

dosti ke rang
dost wahi hotha hai
jo samajh sake.. apne dost ka gam
dost wahi hotha hai
jo ponch sake.. uski aankhon ka nam
dost wahi hotha hai
jo saath de.. uske har kadam
dost wahi hotha hai
jo kar sake.. uski mushkilon ko kam
dost wahi hotha hai
jo yaad dila sake.. uski asli cham
dost wahi hotha hai
jo keh sake.. tum akele nahin jab thak saath hai hum
dost wahi hotha hai
jo de sake.. uske khathir apna dam
woh dost dost nahin kehlatha
jo bhar de.. uski zindagi mein tham
jo samajh sake.. apne dost ka gam
dost wahi hotha hai
jo ponch sake.. uski aankhon ka nam

My first day at my first job
The bluish sky was hastily embellished with dark, dusty stratus obliterating the mighty sun, which was struggling drastically for a glimpse of the scenic earth. Cool breezes were soothing the delectable landscape including me. I just peeped through the window of my lovely gaff indulging the pleasant scenario, which flung me deep into the thoughts reminding me the first day of my first job.
That day I woke up early in the morning with quite a lot of excitement despite the weather being somnolent. My parents hastened me asking me to get ready as quickly as possible so that I could make it to the office sharp at 9 A.M. With lots of musings revolving in my mind I curbed meticulously all the important certificates that I need to carry, with my father guiding and reminding me now and then each and every possession I need to carry. My mother on the other hand embarked on her lecture… asking me to be careful at the office, suggesting me not to leave my friends, advising me to eat properly and commanding me to call her now and then so that she could peacefully watch her favorite culinary programs on the idiot box….(he he...jus kidding mom)..:)....As a daughter I could comprehend her feelings and was quite overwhelmed for her warmth and care.Meanwhile my grandmother asked my mother to come and stand in front of me outside our domicile as it was supposed to be a good omen. My brother wished me good luck and told that he would be eagerly waiting for me so that I could share with him my experiences at the campus.
With a mélange of dwellings piercing through my mind, I bid them goodbye and finally stepped out of my abode, marched towards the bus stop along with my father and boarded into the bus. Accidentally I happened to meet one of my college mates (Satya…. now my buddy) who was also supposed to join the organization on the same date. On journeying for an hour and a half we finally got off at the campus and were flabbergasted at its ambience. All of a sudden it started drizzling and the security permitted us to get inside. I peeked at my father once, who then emboldened me and assured me that it was my day.
The premise was damn swanky and plush with the logo of our organization emblazoned at the apex of one of the skyscrapers over there. I was then abruptly reminded of the encomiums showered by one of my buddies (Mannar) on the campus who then happened to join the organization two months back and I felt them quite apt...:)
In about an hour the hall in which we were made to sit was swarmed with all the new joiners. As usual the room sounded like a typical Indian fish market with the chattering of the joiners. I was suddenly brought back to this globe of IT from the world of chit chatting as the room hushed up where I found a lady strolling into the hall. She was lithe, supple and graceful and essayed a dazzling smile. She has the gift of the gab and gabbed informing us the inception of the organization, its specializations and accomplishments till date. Her lecture was succeeded by a few more talks by the HR department. Later we were made to fill in oodles of forms, which was quite enthusing initially and as we scribbled in a few forms it sounded monotonous and so we just doodled of the remaining forms. At about 1 P.M. in the afternoon they asked us to depart for lunch.
All the joiners segregated themselves into groups and en bloc strolled towards the food court. All of us were astounded and enthralled at its ambience and salubrious and savored the food. Post lunch we had a few more talks by the remaining departments and finally they winded up the session for the day by instructing us the responsibilities and the high expectations that they had on us. Later we were asked to leave for a renowned hospital for a medical check up. Trust me it was peevish...:(
In no time we were done with it and paced off to our respective homes flaunting pride as if we accomplished a Herculean task. To complement the feeling, it started drizzling again and we with elation we drenched ourselves in the rain, got into our respective buses and reached our dwellings. It was indeed an unforgettable day in my life and I always keep cherishing those precious moments...:)
Note: I penned it with the inspiration of my buddy deepthi who too penned her experiences on the first day of joining..:)

khwaahish..
sitharon se baathein karne ki khwaahish thi..
lekin main unhe pahunch nahin paayi...
phoolon se dosti karne ki khwaahish thi..
lekin main unhe batha nahin paayi...
pavan ke jhokon se gale lagne ki khwaahish thi..
lekin main unhe chu nahin paayi...
panchiyon ki tharah udne ki khwaahish thi..
lekin main pankh la nahin paayi...
koyal ki tharah gaane ki khwaahish thi..
lekin main achanak apne aap ko besuri paayi...
sooraj ki tharah ugne ki khwaahish thi..
lekin main neeche kheench di gayi...
baadalon ki tharah machalne ki khwaahish thi..
lekin main unki tharah aazadi nahin paayi...
zindagi ke har rang mein jeene ki khwaahish thi..
lekin main khud zindagi ban nahin paayi...
aisi kya galthi ho gayi mujhse..
ki main apni khwaahishon ko bha nahin paayi...
lekin main unhe pahunch nahin paayi...

Memories to Cherish - my childhood in mumbai
my initial days of schooling...
hmmm...i dwelled a lot on where to start with as my childhood was not restricted to a particular place in India. I have been to many places in Andhra Pradesh and in fact three states in India. Among them the one that is indelible from my mind is 'Aamchi mumbai'. Yup...the tacky, the thronged one.. yet delectable, exotic, mighty, plush, scenic, swanky Mumbai and hmm…if I run with the same pace I am sure that I just can’t end up….
Anyways to start with….my schooling has begun in mumbai,…the business city of India.I am done with my primary education(2nd,3rd n 4th classes) at nanik English high school in Mumbai. My first day at school ended up in a quite freaky way. Even now I jus can’t stop chortling when ever those reminiscences crawl into my mind….
The moment I lollopped into the class I descried many of my co-mates staring at me astounded. As I was from a typical orthodox south Indian family I donned a half saree, wore a tight plait doused with oil and worked out vermilion on my forehead. I was almost dewy- eyed and felt a bit edgy as I peeped at them. Most of them were tad posh with modern outfits and loose hairs. The first hour of the class went on nonchalantly. Later to my astonishment the distance between us dwindled and many of them were enthused to know about me and I was elated when I cud pal up with a few of them….
As I was a native of south India, my mumbai cronies were very much under the delusion that I was a madrasi despite me being a hyderabadi. Not only a mumbaite almost everyone from north India were generally under the illusion that if someone was from south India then that fellow had to be a madrasi..phew!!!
But I consider myself very lucky as i was never teased or exasperated by them for being a south Indian. The camaraderie that I shared with each one of them was quite sterling. I would like to spur the above statement with an instance. After a few days from my date of joining I had a squabble with one of my classmates and on the spur of the moment she hit me hard. I broke into tears(my eyes have a great AFFINITY for water…tears just disgorged from my eyes..don’t u believe me? many of my friends are live witnesses for that)but the very next moment one of my co mates(Tejal) tackled the situation by edifying the other girl that I had recently recovered from typhoid and that it was indeed very idiotic to hit me. My foe (Rachna..just kidding) apologized and from then we turned out to be good friends…
Infact my friends used to adore me and I was always teachers’ pet which made me exhilarated. In my initial days of schooling, learning hindi and marathi was a herculean task but gradually I could make myself comfortable in them and every one was flabbergasted when I was one among the top five in the class in the very first unit test. I was quite overwhelmed as that was my first triumph in my life…:)

dard...
jab kaanta choobtha hai,to than ko chot zaroor lagthi hai...
lekin woh zakhm, kabhi na kabhi mit jaatha hai...
magar jab dosti jhooti nikalthi hai, thab chot man ko lagthi hai...
aur woh dard zindagi bhar nahin mit tha...
lekin woh zakhm, kabhi na kabhi mit jaatha hai...
magar jab dosti jhooti nikalthi hai, thab chot man ko lagthi hai...
aur woh dard zindagi bhar nahin mit tha...

Moments of surging bliss....
waking up in the dawn when the peeking beams of balmy sunlight solace the skin emmoliently...
dousing oneself in the serene evening welcoming the spanking first drizzle of the year ecstatically...
harking to the melliflous muzic on the radio while exuding the daunting stress of the day starkly...
soothing up the soul by snuggling into the lap of mama in a starry dulcet night placidly...
turning nostalgic while dandling a tot and indulging the boisterous deeds it elicits ebulliently...
showering of accolades by the cronies when descried crooning an ethereal ballad euphoniously...
disgorging of tears with flaunt when the quest for pinnacle is embodied truimphantly...
douching of sparks of pride from the eyes of papa when seen the world giving his child encomiums heartfully...
finally...expressing gratitude to the enchanting almighty for having endowed the invaluable human incarnation humbly...
